Agecroft Rowing Club
The fastest in the North

Membership

Agecroft is a friendly but committed club, with opportunities for rowing at all levels including beginning, aspiring international, masters, intermediate and club-level athletes.  We have an excellent fleet of boats and a purpose built £1million clubhouse with its own state-of-the-art gym, which includes 24 Concept 2 rowing machines, free weights, static weight machines and a "Swingulator."

We are located in Salford Quays, Salford/Manchester, just across from Old Trafford.  We row on a 5,000m stretch of the River Irwell and Salford Quays together with Salford University Boat Club. There are virtually no other river users.

Men's and Women's squads follow different weekday land/water training sessions (up to six per week), but share water outings from 8:00am on weekends.  The beginners squad normally start at 12.00pm on weekends. Our men's first VIII has been in the top 40 at Tideway 17 times in the last 20 years, with the second VIII in the top 100 almost as often! Come along and find out why!

Agecroft is currently looking for more coxes and coaches to support the growing club. Both can expect personal development - all coxes are coached, and coaches will have the opportunity to work alongside the main squad coaches.  Land training usually takes place from 6pm at the club most winter evenings.  Newcomers are welcome to turn up then.  Alternatively call at the club (Saturday morning around 10am is a good time).
