Feature on 2005

After completing the build of the new boat house in 2004, Agecroft grew to 80 active members (excluding the fledgling Project Oarsome) with Novice, Development, Junior, Senior and World Class Start squads, also a record 120 attendees to the Annual Dinner.

2005

The knock on from this was more crews competing at prestigious events like the Head of the River races, Henley Royal Regatta, Henley Woman's Regatta and the National Championships of Great Britain events, with variety of successes on the water.

Head of the River Race
ARC entered three crews, with the 1st Eight finishing 35th overall (just missing out on the Jackson) and the 2nd Eight, 102nd.

Woman's Head of the River

ARC entered two crews, with the 1st Eight finishing 36th overall and the 2nd Eight, 122nd.

Woman's Henley Regatta
Two crews entered, a S4+ and Lw2-, with the S4+ progressing to the semi-final.

Henley Royal Regatta
Three crews qualified for and raced on the Wednesday at Henley Royal in the Thames (8+), Wyfold (4-), and Britannia (4x+) - which we'd go on to win four years later.
