British Rowing Masters Championships 2016

DATE: SATURDAY 11th and SUNDAY 12th JUNE 2016
VENUE: NATIONAL WATER SPORTS CENTRE, HOLME PIERREPONT, NOTTINGHAM
COURSE: 1000m - 6 Lanes

The club's Masters squad took on the country's best at Nottingham Watersports Centre for the 2016 National Masters Championships.

Focusing on the sweep events on the Sunday, the squad picked up Gold in the B4- and Silver in the C8+ (with Monmouth getting payback from Veterans' Eights Head). With an exceptionally competitive squad this year, the other two boats: C4- and D4+, only just missed out on medals, the coxed four by half a second off bronze and two seconds on gold.

That's the season finale for the squad, and time for a well earned rest following wins at Runcorn, North of England, Nottingham City Masters, 12th overall at Vets' Head and of course these results at Masters Champs.

This is the most successful season since the Masters squad was set up 9 years ago!
