 Learn to Row

We have a learn to row course currently running Autumn 2018.

The structure of our learn to row is as below:

Taster Day - taking you through basics in the gym and on the water.

Learn to Row Course - typically from 12.30pm on Sundays for 6 weeks and will be focused on time in the boat, teaching you all the basics of rowing. The course goes through the basics of rowing, learning to row on the water under the guidance of some of our club coaches and athletes, as well as picking up the basics in the gym and on the indoor rowing machines (Ergos) all parts of a weekly training plan of the current squad members. Allowing those who then want to take rowing further to transition into our squads.

We are looking for keen and competitive athletes, who are looking to compete in a team sport at a friendly, successful club.
We train hard, and have fun along the way. We are looking for athletes who maybe have competed at a high level in another sport and are now looking for a new challenge, or who have always wanted to give rowing a go - now is your time.
You will be fully supported through the course, and following the course will transition into one of the squads - last years Learn to Row group saw 5 of the Women competing at WEHORR (The worlds biggest Women's boat race) 4 months after completing the course, and we would love to repeat this feat with some of this years course attendees...it could be you!
Many of our previous Learn to Row athletes have gone on to compete at a National level, with 3 of our Henley Women's Semi finalists having learnt to row at the club within the last 4 years.

If you are keen to give rowing a go, and get involved, please email row4agecroft@gmail.com, Terri will be in touch as soon as the next course dates are organised.

Please note numbers for the LTR course are limited and it is recommended you attend at least 5 of the the Sundays on the course so you get the best out of it.

Tickets: (link for tickets will be posted here when event is live)

We will run our next LTR course early Spring 2019.
